Getting started
Incorporate in Canada

Let’s start your corporation.

A few plain-language questions and we’ll prepare and file the paperwork for you. Takes about five minutes — and you won’t pay until it’s ready to file.

Step 01 · Jurisdiction

Where will it be registered?

You can do business anywhere in Canada either way. This sets the governing act, the fee, and how your name is protected.

Step 02 · Ownership

Who owns and runs it?

This shapes the rest of the setup — we only ask for what applies to you.

What role will they have?
Step 03 · Name

Name the corporation.

Type it in and watch it appear on your certificate. We run the official name search before filing — you can still change it.

Company name
Inc.
We’ll assign a number like 1000123 Ontario Inc. at filing — no name search needed. You can name it later.
Step 04 · Company details

A couple of basics.

Your fiscal year-end sets your filing deadlines. Pick the industry that fits best — we’ll sort out the exact code.

Fiscal year-end

Most new corporations pick December. You can change it before we file.

Step 05 · Registered office

Where’s the registered office?

The official address on the public record — where legal and government mail is delivered. It must be in Ontario.

Step 06 · People & shares

You’re the whole company.

Since it’s just you, you’ll hold all three roles — we set them up automatically. Nothing to add here.

President Signing authorityThe officer who signs on behalf of the corporation.
Sole shareholder 100%You own all of the common shares — the whole company is yours.

Step 06 · People & shares

Who’s on the team?

Add everyone involved. We’ll collect their details and shares — you can invite them to fill in their own.

Everything look right?

Here’s the full picture. Nothing is filed or charged until you tap Pay & file — and we run the official name search first.
